Weekend top picks: Easter egg hunts, 'Spring Awakening' at Roxy, Historic Collinsville opening

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This is a big weekend for Easter egg hunts, with over a half-dozen in the works for Saturday. Plus, Spring Awakening and the Historic Collinsville opening.

Chow Down with the Clarksville Food Trucks Easter Extravaganza, 690 N. Riverside Drive. Saturday, April 8, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Join Clarksville Gearhead Car Club and Clarksville Mobile Food Vendors for thousands of eggs for the little ones to hunt, plus five food trucks on site. The egg hunt will start at 1 p.m.

Southern Roof and Renovations Easter Egg Hunt, at Liberty Park, 1188 Cumberland Drive, Saturday, April 8, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Spring Awakening at the Roxy: This hit rock ‘n’ roll musical explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood in 1891 Germany. Recommended for mature audiences only. It’s at the Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St., from April 6-22 at 7 p.m. Thursdays; 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and with 2 p.m. matinee Saturdays. Historic Collinsville Easter Celebration: The pioneer settlement in rural Montgomery County, at 4711 Weakley Road, Southside, will open its annual season, featuring hands-on activities for all ages from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 8. Admission is $8 for ages 13 and up, $4 for ages 6-12, and free to under age 6.
