Spirit Halloween opens in Oshkosh for 2023: Location, hours, costumes

OSHKOSH – As summer winds down, Oshkosh is preparing for its Halloween parties and costumes.

The self-proclaimed largest Halloween retailer in the country, Spirit Halloween is now open at 2145 S. Koeller St., returning to its previous spot next to Rogan's Shoes after it spent last year farther north on Koeller Street in the former Party City.

Officially licensed costumes and decorations featured this year include Barbie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Harry Potter and Wednesday, according to the store's website.

Celebrating its 40th year bringing pop-up stores across the country, Spirit Halloween offers Halloween costumes, props, makeup and decorations for a variety of ages and tastes. The store prides itself on selling officially licensed merchandise, including costumes and merchandise from brands like Disney, Marvel and DC, as well as other movies, cartoons and video games.

Decorations range from tabletop props to 7-foot tall animatronics, whether quirky or spooky.

Spirit Halloween is typically open each year through Nov. 2. This year, its hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays.
