O‘ahu Pop

Strolling through a local pop-up market on a weekend is one of our favorite things to do. The experience can be much more interactive and rewarding than going to your traditional mall since you can talk story with small business owners, find one-of-a-kind items only available that day and support a variety of local vendors coming together for the community.

Grab your cute totes and a latte—here are the ongoing O‘ahu pop-up markets you can check out every month.

With four locations in Hawai‘i Kai, Waikīkī, Hale‘iwa Town and Ala Moana Center, the Mālama Hawai‘i Makers Market features a carefully curated collection of 150 local artists, makers, designers, food vendors, collectors and more. All products and goods are designed or handmade in Hawai‘i.

Peruse through handcrafted jewelry, sewn totes, baby items and apparel, paper craft stationery, resin, etched, and vinyl covered tumblers and more. Grab snacks and treats from locally owned and operated companies. There will be giveaways all day. Find your favorite local snacks and handcrafted items created by passionate local small businesses. There are giveaways all day, plenty of parking and an ATM Machine at the food court and near Lavish Nails on ground level if you need cash. Vendors include ​​​​Phases Hawai‘i, Kissy Hawai‘i, Usborne Books & More, Hawai‘i Candy Factory, Mzticalboutique and HANA GIRLS LLC.

Grab dinner, dessert and snacks for the family and browse the local artisans all while supporting Mililani High School. Vendors include Smoked LLC​, HI Freeze Treats Paradise Kettle Corn, Dragon Tea Girls, YuYu Crafted and Simply Ono, and there are giveaways all night.

Enjoy a night of crafts, retail, desserts and dinner on the grounds of Kapolei High School. Support the various high school clubs operated by students. Proceeds benefit Kapolei High School, and there will be giveaways all evening.

Support local small businesses at one of Hawai‘i’s premier pop-up markets. Expect an array of unique treasures and finds—everything from fine furniture and jewelry to clothing, accessories, keiki and pet items and specialty food vendors.

The nonprofit Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement created this online marketplace in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic to support local businesses and entrepreneurs in Hawai‘i. You can find everything from apparel, home décor, jewelry, books, spa goods and food. Free shipping on all U.S. orders over $99.

Pop-up market meets block party at this fun event in Our Kaka‘ako. The Honolulu Night Market will be held twice a year, once during the summer and again during the holidays, so keep an eye out for the next event a few months from now. Expect fashion shows, cultural activities, family-friendly entertainment and plenty of shopping and dining vendors.

This market focuses on sustainable and natural products that help restore our ecosystems and strengthen local economies. In the past, there have been about 20 local and ethical vendors to shop, along with food vendors and live music courtesy of Creative Natives Hawai‘i.

This event gives space to about 60 creators, artists and entrepreneurs who perpetuate Hawaiian culture and language. The majority of vendors are Native Hawaiian-owned businesses, with several from the neighbor islands. In the past, a portion of the proceeds have been donated to a Native Hawaiian nonprofit.
